Artist statement

My creations are driven by conceptual themes to show the layers and nuances of any individual identity or character. In the world of costume, my concepts serve as a purpose to invite outsiders to look within and see the depth of the story onstage. Each character is merely a single piece on the board, but their individual struggles and dreams are always present in their manner of dress.

In fashion, my designs are almost always a dream. A wish. A method of coping with reality and finding beauty in what the world could be in spite of what it is. The ability to take my darkest emotions and redistribute the toxic into the intoxicating. To be able to make something beautiful out of destruction, hope from despair. To serve the world by providing them with a beautiful distraction.
